The Korea Animation Producers Association (KAPA) was founded in December 1994 to promote and develop the Korean animation industry.
Currently, with over 90 major Korean animation production and related companies registered as members, it is the representative organization of the Korean animation industry. It contributes to the growth of the industry by developing policies, improving laws and regulations, fostering talent, and leading various domestic and international animation-related events.
Furthermore, to promote and revitalize the domestic animation industry, the KAPA maintains close relationships with government agencies such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Communications Commission, as well as key government agencies such as the Korea Creative Content Agency, SBA, KOTRA, Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, and the Korean Film Council. The KAPA promotes policy proposals, projects, and events by expanding connections between animation production companies and domestic animation-related organizations.
